This report also describes the results of the experiments made for research (B) mentioned in Report 1. In dimyaria, the resultant of the two adductor muscles must be so disposed that there is an equilibrium between that and the action of ligament, and this fact was proved as follows. The author investigated respectively the action of ligament and the resultant of the two adductor muscles, and examined whether both actions would harmonize with each other. The behavior of ligament was caught on a kymograph at first, and then the author searched for the position of the temporary resultant of adductors which would correspond to the action of ligament. On the other hand the position of the true resultant of adductors was obtained by calculation on the ground that the force of adductor is proportional to the area of the cross section of adductor. It was proved that the two resultants thus obtained occupy almost the same position, and consequently that there is a harmonious action between the ligament and the adductor muscles.
