(1)When Karamatsu has been seasoning as heart wood sawdust and sapwood sawdust for a long time (12 months), galactans and mannans in sawdusts are increased, but total celluloses are a little decreased. (2)The author considered the effects of the seasoning and the difficulties of the suefite digestion with Karamatsu heart wood by means of comparing the differences of the digestionmechanism of the heart wood and the sap wood. (3)The effects of the heart wood resin upon the cooking are stated by means of comparing the differences of the digestionmechanism of the heart wood and the resin-free heart wood.(4)As regard to the suifite pulps with the heart wood sawdust and the sap wood sawdust are the effects of the seasoning considered.
