Abstract |
QUEST is a middle-sized spherical tokamak, which has a capability of long term plasma discharge. Thus, the QUEST is suitable for the study of steady state operation such as energy and particle balance...s and particle recycling. For the sustainment of steady-state plasma, it may be required such as high performance control systems, various sensors and actuators, technics for real-time calculation methods, and so on. In this paper, the present status of control systems on QUEST are presented, and its perspectives are also described. The central control system will be improved with easy comprehensible user interface and Ethernet environment. And, the plasma control system identify the plasma position and its current with hall sensors in real-time continuously without drift errors. The plasma on QUEST will be controlled integrally with the cooperation of these systems.show more
