Abstract We studied on the HVAC&R system for 2 years just after the building completion. Consequently, the system efficiency of the HVAC&R system was improved because the thermal storage temperature was raised... and the range of temperature between inlet and outlet temperature of heat exchange was expanded. However, some problems, such as the trouble of the chiller and the performance deterioration of the water-water heat exchanger, recently have occurred and the system performance have been going down. This paper presents the energy consumption changes of the HVAC&R system in an office building completed 8 years ago and extracts problems on the operation in order to clarify the effect of energy savings if continuous energy management are carried out.show more
