Abstract |
A power transmission line system is dynamically treated as a coupled structure of cables and towers. It is well-known that the dynamic behaviors of an unbalanced load of the transmission line in stron...g winds are strongly affected by the line-putting situation and a ratio of the continuing line-length, etc. The authors have developed some ideas and devices to confirm the influence of the line-putting methods in a wind tunnel. Wind tunnel tests were performed to gather the information of the unbalanced load associated with the line attachment type and the ratio of the continuing line length. The paper reports a several features of the dynamic behaviors of unbalanced tension of transmission lines.show more
