Abstract Recently cases that social welfare facilities for the aged and hospitals install the electric floor heating systems using latent heat storage are increasing in number. This system, utilizing the radia...nt heat and heating from the floor, offers the comfortable environment even the room temperature is kept lower than normal. However, surveys which studied quantitatively the heating effect of the system has rarely done. This report shows the result of the survey on indoor environment and energy consumption of the welfare facilities for the aged, which installed the electric floor heating systems using the latent heat storage.show more
