This paper conducts empirical research on the relationship between rural education and household income of famers in the Western Region of China using regression analysis. The results suggest that education has a significant positive influence on farm income. In terms of educational attainment, both junior high education and high school education show similar positive effect on farm income. Vocational and technical education also has positive effect on farming income, although area differences are relevant. Regional difference has a more significant influence on the income of rice or corn farmers in contrast with rural education.
