Abstract There are two main issues that Japanese language education in Thailand currently faces. The first challenge is that e-learning has not yet been firmly established. The second point worth highlighting ...is that there is currently no set curriculum for the study of Japanese culture, this is despite the fact that most Japanese language learners aim to work at a Japanese company, while Japanese companies demand not only linguistic ability, but also an understanding of the country's customs and values. Therefore, pursuing a system of e-learning that teaches users about Japanese culture would help nurture a new crop of Japanese speaking talent, and solve many of these problems. This paper suggests measures that could help facilitate the development of e-learning, while also highlighting the potential problems that may arise and how they can be overcome.show more
