Abstract |
Erikson said that 'basic trust' is gained from good care from the mother in infanthood and is maintained through the life cycle as trust towards self and world. The purpose of this study is to underst...and the construction of the sense of trust in adolescence as derived from the trust of the internalized stable mother. To examine it, the 'self-trust' scale was constructed. As a result of factor analysis of the scale administrated to the high-school students, this scale was made of 5 factors, and they were named 'trust not to annihilate', 'lack of self-confidence', 'trust of self through the relationship with others', 'trust of the continuity of self' and 'trust of control of self'. Furthermore, the relationships between the self-trust scale and the 'inner object' scale that reflects quality of one's internalized object were examined. In conclusion, it was found how the self trust affects to the inner object in adolescence.show more
