Abstract Interstitial loop and vacancy type defect cluster (loop, SFT and void) formation under electron irradiation have been observed with a HVEM in pure Fe-16Cr-17Ni, Fe-15Cr-16Ni-0.25Ti and Fe-16Cr-17Ni-0....25Ti-0.1P alloys at temperature range between 293 and 873K. After irradiations, microchemical changes at the matrices have been analyzed by EDS. The temperature dependence of the interstitial loop formation in an Fe-Cr-Ni-Ti alloy is close to the pure ternary in the relatively lower temperatures. This indicates that the addition of titanium does not influence the nucleation of interstitial loops. The interstitial migration energy of 0.9 eV was derived in an Fe-Cr-Ni-Ti alloy. At temperature above 573K void swelling or vacancy loop formation is prominent. The formation of Fe_2P type precipitate was enhanced by titanium addition during the heattreatment at 973K.show more
