概要 |
The necessary laser power in laser fluorescence spectroscopy for light impurity detection at the periphery of high temperature plasmas is evaluated for cases of direct excitation and multi-photon exci...tation. The results show that the direct excitation is more promising for an atomic density of less than 10^<17>m^<-3>, in which case a laser power of several tens of watt is sufficient to obtain SNR of more than 10 against shot noise. Based on the evaluation, two-photon-resonallt four-wave-mixing in magnesium vapor has been adopted for the generation of tunable vuv light. In order to confirm a stable operation of a heat pipe oven, which is used for the generation of the magnesium vapor with a pressure of around 20 Torr, preliminary experiments have been carried out on the mode of two-photon pesonant third-harmonic-generation. The rusults were promising, confirming a stable operation of the heat pipe oven and a generation of vuv light.続きを見る
