Abstract |
When a plane shock followed by uniform flow moves into still gas and encounters a plane wall inclined to the shock, it is reflected by the inclined wall. In these reflection problems of shock waves, f...our different types of reflection have been observed in previous shock tube experiments. They are regular reflection, single-Mach, complex-Mach, and double-Mach reflections. The problem considered in this report is that of transition boundaries between these reflections in a pseudo-steady flow. Numerical calculations on transition criterions have been performed for argon, air, carbon dioxide and chlorofluoro-carbon (Freon-12, CF_2Cl_2), and the effect of thermodynamic properties of gas on the domains and boundaries of these reflections are clarified.show more
