Abstract It is well known that the problem of multipath propagation arises in the tracking low-altitude targets with a monopulse radar and causes large bias error in the estimated altitude of the target. Since... the bias error caused by multipath propagation depends on a large number of parameters such as the frequency of the radar waveform, the actual target altitude, and range, it is difficult to estimate the bias errors.
