Abstract |
In this paper, I try to examine Oe's attitude toward postwar Japan through his work <Our Age>. He is in despair at a postwar Japan that has become a nation of sexual human beings. This novel presents ...an image of youth of the period, emphasizing sexuality as an important factor. Oe attempts to examine reality through human sexuality and to make a political criticism through the themes of 'sexuality' and 'polities'.show more
