このレポートは九州大学北海道演習林のミズナラ林における択伐作業を研究するために設定された試験地の概要をのべたものである。この択伐作業の取扱いは択伐のほかに,萌芽整理と枝打を加味したものである。次に,このレポートの概要をのべる。(1)本試験地は,1963年10月,九州大学北海道演習林内に設定された。(2)林令は約40年で,ha当り本数は5,096本,ha当り材積は97,413m^3であり,過去に間伐...されたことがある林分である。(8)下層木の林令は13～14年で,生長は良好である。(4)択伐作業は回帰年を13～15年として,20～25%の択伐率を基準にして実施された。(5)萌芽整理は形質優良であって,しかもその萌芽自体から発根して,新個体にすみやかに確立しうるものを保残することを主眼にして実施された。(6)択伐作業および萌芽整理実施後の林分構成の関係は第1表と第3図に示されている。(7)上層良木の枝打は枝下高を8mまたは4mになるように実施した。下層木については,枯枝に対して実施し,もし生枝に対しても必要ならば,樹高の1/3以下のものに実施した。
This report outlines the test forest set up for the purpose of studying the selective cutting system in the Japanese oaks stands in Kyushu University Forest in Hokkaido. The treatments of this cutting system are selective cutting, coppice cutting and pruning. The findings are outlined as follows. (1) The test forest was set up in Kyushu University Forest in Hokkaido in October 1963. (2) The trees are about 40 years old, the number of trees is 5,096 per ha. and the volume is 97,413 $m^3$ per ha. There are indications of thinning carried out in the past. (3) Most of the underwood coppices are 13-14 years old and the growth condition is good. (4) The selective cutting was carried out by the standard of 20-25 % of selective cutting ratio on the condition that the cutting cycle was 13-15 years. (5) The coppice cutting was carried out in consideration of the main aim of leaving good coppices which were rooting for themselves and could get independent of mother trees rapidly. (6) The relation of the stand constructions before and after the selective cutting and coppice cutting is Table 1 and Fig. 3. (7) The lopping on the overwood was carried out by the standard of 8 m or 4 m of lopping height. With the underwood, the lopping was carried out to the dead branches, and if necessary to green branches under one third of the tree height.続きを見る
