概要 |
This paper first analyses the deployment of cheap railroad fares in major EU member states from 2010-2014. Then it examines the influence of cheap railroad fares on a mode of territorial settlement by... employing Belgium as a .casestudy. The analyses showed that there is a growing trend in supporting long distance travels in those countries by stimulating optimal and collective rail operations. The analysis also indicated, that there exist extremely cheap subscriptions dedicated for certain objectives and generations in some countries. The careful reading of Belgian casestudy showed that affordable railroad fares play significant roles in enriching everyday lives of ordinary people and continuous urbanization especially in rural locales. Through the provision of great accessibility over a territory, ordinary people are empowered to fill diversity of gaps dividing our everyday life world: urban and rural, today and yesterday, young and aged, and so forth. Such social factor makes Belgium's rural area a place of vibrant social lives and explicitly shows the utility of affordable access.続きを見る
