Abstract |
Laparoscopic-assisted percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (LAPEG) was performed in consecutive three patients for whom it was unable to place a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG). The mean oper...ation time was 40.3 min, and mean blood loss was 1.3 g. Three trocars were placed, two for working and another for endoscopy, and a PEG was established by an usual Introducer method. There were no complications both intra- and post-operatively. LAPEG might be a safe alternative when the application of PEG is difficult.show more
