It is often said that the meaning of wake de wa nai is negation of inference. However this expression has a use which cannot be accounted by this kind of understanding. Instead of the existing explana...tion, in this paper, it is proposed that below is the meaning of p wake de wa nai. the meaning of p wake de wa nai: w_R∉p-W (the real world is not the world at which the proposition p is true.) In this paper, it is illustrated that the "negation of inference", which has been understood as the meaning of this expression, is the implicature which is lead under the specific presupposition.続きを見る
