| Abstract |
The writer tested on the mechanical properties of Sugi- and Hinoki- woods (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don. and Chamaecyparis obtusa S. et Z.) grown at Mt. Wakasugi, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu. The follow...ing tables show the results of this test. Mechanical properties were generally in direct proportion to the density, and their relations could be expressed by the equations (1)-(7) with Sugi- wood and (1)'-(7)' with Hinoki-wood.show more
