Sometimes we exhibit particular behaviors that follow our personal rules. In this paper, I have termed such behaviors as "meaningless behaviors based on personal rules." Additionally, I have conducted research on such behaviors from a psychological perspective. As a result of several pre-structured interviews, I concluded that such behaviors could be classified into four groups: "ritual behaviors," "play behaviors," "habitual ritual behaviors," and "habitual play behaviors." Moreover, I observed that each type of behavior has different effects on the person who exhibits it. "Meaningless behaviors based on personal rules" seem to be illogical actions; however, we find them significant because of their meaninglessness. Although such behaviors are observed in daily life, they have features that are similar to ritual and play; therefore, it can be suggested that they belong to the class of non-daily behaviors and play a comparable role.
