Abstract |
Ekiken Kaibara, a scholar focused on Confucianism of the Fukuoka feudal clan, had left numerous books on the Fukuoka feudal clan. The texts which Ekiken worked on were about general history and topogr...aphy. This research/article is focused on Ekiken's texts on vassal corps. Through the analyzation of his texts, I have clarified Ekiken's recognition of military power. Furthermore, I considered the influence of his thoughts on Japanese history. For this research, relations between the image of twenty four vassals and Ekiken's recognition on military power had been examined. And I also examined people thoughts on samurai during this peaceful times.show more
