概要 |
Flexible metalized multilayer packaging (MMLP) plastic waste is environmentally challenging due to its various composition and low recycling rate. This study investigates the potential of a blend of M...MLP waste, high-density polyethylene (rHDPE) from bottle caps, and polyethylene-glycidyl methacrylate (PE-g-GMA) for pallet products. The blend formulation was optimized for the highest possible compressive elastic modulus using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD). With a ratio of 0.6393 of rHDPE to MMLP and a PE-g-GMA content of 6.7786%, this optimized formulation exhibited a compressive elastic modulus of 190 MPa. The mechanical performance of pallets manufactured from the optimized formulation was predicted using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The FEA results indicate that the pallet can endure loads up to 600 kg without undergoing permanent plastic deformation. As a result of the weight of 250 kg, the deformation is less than 4 mm, therefore meeting the stiffness performance criteria of the ISO 8611 standard.続きを見る
