Rapid urbanization raises concerns about the availability of urban green infrastructure. This study looks at Pune, India, to see how Urban green spaces (UGS) and urban greenways (UGWs) might help revi...talize urban environments. Urban Greenways are linear open space networks that enhance ecological and socioeconomic advantages. Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the study assesses Pune's Urban green space distribution, size, and identifies limitations through survey of carefully selected case studies in the study area. The study recognizes ward wise shortcoming of urban green space with respect to the norms provided by Urban and Regional Development Plans Formulation and Implementation (URDPFI) and World health Organization (WHO). It proposes framework to plan Urban greenways s to connect Urban green spaces to form a comprehensive green network for improving inhabitants' quality of life.続きを見る
