概要 |
Countries around the world are facing the challenge of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda, which address a wide range of critical issues. Although these goa...ls are not mandatory, adhering to them offers a valuable framework for mitigating the negative environmental, economic, and social impacts that threaten communities. This paper advocates for a comprehensive, system-wide approach to planning, implementing, and managing sustainable infrastructure (SI) investments. By acknowledging the unique circumstances of each country, policymakers can apply guiding principles that integrate environmental, social, and economic sustainability throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle. These principles are designed to be adaptable and relevant across diverse national contexts. Such an approach is essential for enabling governments at all levels to move from simply "doing infrastructure right" to strategically choosing the "right infrastructure" that sustainably meets service needs. This research aims to advance the achievement of the SDGs by examining SI investments through the lens of various international practices. It explores the pathways for delivering SI, focusing on the interconnections between SI planning and the specific targets related to their environmental, social, and economic outcomes.続きを見る
