The purpose of this study is to identify factors that influence the development of delusions of harm, which is self-doubt that one might harm others. The purpose of this study is to examine delusions of perpetration in adolescents and to identify factors that influence the development of delusions of perpetration, which is self-doubt that one might harm others. In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 68 college students were administered a questionnaire regarding delusional ideation, belief core schema, personality traits, and fear of negative evaluation. The results showed that many adolescents experienced “annoyance to others” and “hurt feelings toward others.” Multiple regression analysis with schema, personality, and fear of negative evaluation as explanatory variables and delusions of harm as the objective variable revealed that negative self schema, conscientiousness personality traits, and fear of negative evaluation from others were influential factors in causing delusions of harm. These results suggest that delusions of othering in adolescents may be related to self-perception, conscientiousness personality traits, and fear of negative evaluation from others.
