概要 |
Four species of Spalangia Latreille (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae), S. cameroni Perkins, S. endius Walker, S. nigroaenea Curtis, and S. nigra Latreille, were collected from dairy farms located in Fukuoka..., Japan. The former three species were reared from pupae of Stomoxys calcitrans (Linnaeus) (Diptera: Muscidae) and the latter was reared from pupae of Chrysomya pinguis (Walker) (Diptera: Calliphoridae). This is a new distributional record for S. cameroni from Japan. Chrysomya pinguis is newly recorded as the host insect of S. nigra. A key to Japanese species of Spalangia was provided for further biological studies. Spalangia species have been known as biological control agents against St. calcitrans in Europe and North America. Thus, the detection of these parasitoids provides opportunities for biological control as an additional control measure against St. calcitrans in Japan.続きを見る
