概要 | We propose IEC (interactive evolutionary computation) Fitting as a method that optimizes the parameters of hearing aids based on how users hear and evaluate the IEC Fitting. First, the features of the... IEC Fitting method are described. We simulate the characteristics of a hearing aid and let both a normal hearing and hearing-impaired subjects compare the IEC Fitting with conventional fitting. Subjective tests and VCV syllable recognition tests for speech with and without noise and music show that the IEC Fitting is superior to the conventional fitting in all experimental aspects. Second; we analyze the filtered speech sound, the input-output characteristics, and amplitude characteristic space of the fitted hearing aids to investigate the physical factors that contribute to the psychological satisfaction of IEC Fitting and the higher score of VCV syllable articulations. We obtain some hints on general fitting. Third, we apply the IEC Fitting to a hearing aid on the market and evaluate its practicality. Subjects who have used the hearing aid fitted by the conventional method evaluate the two fitting methods immediately after the fitting and several days later using the fitted hearing aid.
