We developed a system to investigate acoustic characteristics of tinnitus tones using genetic algorithms of interactive evolutionary computation (IEC). The utility of tinnitus measurement using the IE...C system was evaluated for normal hearing subjects with a pseudo-tinnitus tone. A pure tone and a band noise were employed as pseudo-tinnitus tones. For the pseudo-tinnitus pure tone, the highest scored tone in the fifth IEC generation was very close to the frequency of the pseudo-tinnitus pure tone. However, the highest scored tone showed a poor convergence for sensation level. For the pseudo-tinnitus band noise, the highest scored tones in the seventh IEC generation showed almost similar acoustic characteristics in center frequency, bandwidth and sound pressure level to the pseudo-tinnitus band noise.続きを見る
