| 概要 | Optic neuritis is a common disorder and usually causes severe, though temporary, visual impairment. There is considerable interest in the condition, particularly because of the relationship between op...ic neuritis and multiple sclerosis, though its cause has not yet been established. This book gives an up-to-date survey of current knowledge including authoritative accounts of the normal visual system and optic nerve physiology: clinical applications of visual psychophysics and electrophysiology, immunology, pathology and differential diagnosis of the disorder are fully discussed. There is also a unique account by an artist-patient, with a selection of his paintings which illustrate the visual distortions produced by the disease.
