| 概要 | A previous volume titled New Urbanism and Beyond was inspired by a 2004 conference in Stockholm, Sweden, and the present volume was similarly inspired, in this case by a 2008 Conference on Climate Cha...ge and Urban Design in Oslo Norway (sponsored by the Council for European Urbanism and Congress for New Urbanism). A third volume is anticipated, which will complete a trilogy of interest to urban planners, architects, designers, geographers, policymakers, and citizens. Roughly 60 lively, focused contributions are arranged according to ten themes: climate change and resilience; beyond new urbanism; emerging tools for sustainability; systemic mobility, structural ecology, and informatics; evolving cities; urban theory; regional cities; just environments; urban shifts and new networks; and the future of globalized cities.
