Topics explored include Bosnia under Ottoman rule (1463-1800), late 17th century English diplomatic relations with Turkey, the Ottoman Menzilhane and Ulak system in the 18th century, a 1688 letter from a Tunisian pasha to a British ambassador, and documents relating to an unsolved 17th century murder. The original pagination has been maintained. Includes appended translations, facsimiles of documents, and a photo of the author.
