| 概要 | Growing out of a 2004 dissertation completed at the Stanford Law School, this work is based upon the idea that copyright law in the US has become unbalanced in favor of the legal rights of authors. It...draws back as far as the 1710 Statute of Anne and the intellectual property clause of the American Constitution to examine to what extent it currently promotes the "progress of science and the useful arts" and lives up to moral and ethical principles. It is primarily a philosophical piece that winds up drawing greatly on the principles of John Rawls in devising a social matrix where authors, readers and publishers all have rights, but also duties.
