概要 | Editors Curnutt (English, Troy U.) and Sinclair (scholar in residence, and executive director, Winter Park Institute at Rollins College) have collected intriguing new essays from leading Ernest Heming...ay scholars that re-evaluate his writing during his years in Key West (1933 to 1936). Written for fellow scholars and students, this collection maintains that while many of his short stories and essays from this period were either overlooked or misunderstood at the time, a fresher perspective maintains that his experiments with prose and style were as complex and nuanced as anything he had written. Contributors such as Patrick Hemingway, Carol Hemingway and Susan Beegel also analyze the effect island living on Key West had on his writing and also note the enduring "Hemingway industry" in the area.
