Good, a statist...cian and cryptologist, was one of the primary members of the team that cracked the German Enigma Code during World War II. He also advised director Stanley Kubrick on the scientific issues involved in the landmark film 2001: A Space Odyssey. While technical, the collection includes his most accessible work on topics such as randomness, artificial intelligence, and rational decisions.
