Four chapters penned b... Shisatskii and later mathematicians consider the Cuachy problem for a degenerating elliptic equation, noncharacteristic Cauchy problem, and mixed problem with reversed time for a degenerating parabolic equation. Along with uniqueness theorems, they obtain stability estimates that guarantee conditional well-posedness of considered Cauchy problems in terms of the inverse problems theory.
