| 概要 | The 17th edition lists some 133,000 books from 15,500 publishers by author, by title, and under 13,500 subject headings (not including "high temperature superconductivity," or "supernova 1987A"--these...are accessible through "superconductivity" and "supernova"). Periodicals (19,000) in the sci-tech are included (though the serial subject index is independent of that for books and uses the Ulrich's subject terms). A fine tool for collections and collectors specializing in sci-tech. Of the 154,315 total citations, over 16,000 pertain to the environment, 1,789 reflect developments in AIDS research, and 1,308 document waste procedural techniques. This edition includes 13,000 new entries and 60,000 revisions. All book entries are arranged alphabetically and are listed by subject, author, and title. Serials listings appear in two indexes, the serials-subject index, which lists entries within various subject categories, and the serials-title index, which lists entries alphabetically by title. Subject categories in the book and serials sections are patterned after those used in the card catalog of the Library of Congress.
