| 概要 | Analagous to how Barach spaces relate to Hilbert spaces, Finsler geometry uses families of Minkowski norms, instead of families of inner products, to describe geometry. Over the course of 11 papers pr...sented by Antonelli (mathematical sciences, U. of Alberta, Canada) the current state of the field is described. Major topics include Lagrange geometry and spray geometry. Other papers examine such concerns as the fundamentals of Finslerian diffusion, holonomy structures, the Gauss-Bonnet, Chern theorem in Finsler geometry, the Hodge theory of Finsler-type geometries, and symbolic Finsler geometry. The CD-ROM contains the mathematical software package FINSLER, based on MAPLE, for help with calculations.
