The next seven chapters focus on bioethanol and discuss the current status and outlook and the production of ethanol from molasses, starchy biomass, and lignocellulosic biomass. The remaining chapters focus on biodiesel and discuss current and future perspectives; production technologies and substrates; lipase-catalyzed preparation of biodiesel; biodiesel production with supercritical fluid technologies; and production of biodiesel from palm oil, rice bran oil, karanja and jatropah seed oil, mahua oil, and rubber seed oil.
