概要 This book contains a prologue, nine papers and an epilogue on the use of the Cyclic Innovation Model (CIM) in public and private domains. CIM is a fourth-generation innovation concept which overcomes ...he deficiencies of current innovation models. Particularly, the notion of linear chains with sequential processes, giving rise to the unproductive contradictions between 'technology push' and 'market pull', are outdated. In CIM, feedback plays a central role. One important consequence is that the traditional chain is replaced by a circle, describing the dynamic 'innovation arena' and emphasizing that in real life innovations do build on each other. At its highest conceptual level, CIM describes the cyclic interactions that take place between the changes in science, technology, products and markets. These inter-related changes create opportunities for innovation. At a lower level, CIM explains which type of organizations facilitate these interactions. Further down, innovation projects are described in terms of multi-disciplinary collaborations. CIM convincingly shows that disciplinary segmentation hampers innovation. Book jacket.続きを見る
