| 概要 | Originating from the third European Meeting of Applied Evolutionary Economics, which took place in 2003 in Germany, the eleven papers in this work apply empirical methods and simulation techniques of ...eo- Schumpeterian economics to analysis of knowledge-based economies and knowledge-driven dynamics. The editors (professors of economics at the U. of Augsburg, Germany) first present two papers that introduce a cognitive approach to understanding "imagineering" (invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship) at the individual level and consider the role of failure in knowledge creation. This is followed by case studies of knowledge integration in biotechnology, computer software clusters in North America, and industry dynamics in the German insurance market. The next three papers consider geographical dimensions of knowledge diffusion and locational change in entrepreneurial firms. The remaining two papers take up issues of measuring and modeling.
