概要	Although many lay people believe that America has ensured its economic dominance over other nations through the manipulation of imports and exports, in fact another form of economic exchange has quiet...y become even more powerful, that being the purchase and sale of financial assets across borders. Nearly $2 million in currency moves across borders daily, about 90 percent of which is unrelated to trade in goods and services. Researchers and journalists Steil and Litan find this trend alarming as it is surprising, and advocate asking fundamental questions about the influence of international capital flows and its impact on international economic policy and politics. Although they do not necessarily believe such manipulation is inherently inappropriate, they do believe that someone should ask those basic questions, and soon.
