概要 | Explanations for the character of the North Korean regime often rest on reference to the influence of the Soviets or to earlier Korean political traditions. Szalontai (political science, National U. o... Mongolia) argues that the de-Stalinization of many communist states in the Krushchev and the failure of South Korea to develop the political and ideological monolithism of the Kim Il Sung regime demonstrate that these accounts, taken individually, are unsatisfactory. His account of the political development of North Korea from 1953 to 1964 synthesizes the two schools of thought, examining the relationship between rulers and ruled and discussing accommodation and conflict in the relationship between North Korea and the Soviet Union.
