概要	The second in a multivolume series reconstructing the history of the first major archaeological expedition into the US Southwest. Three years into the expedition, the sponsors fired Cushing, its head;...after two years of serious illness, bereft of his own records, he tried to write a report of the daily itinerary, but soon gave up in frustration. Hinsley (history, Northern Arizona U.) and Wilcox (anthropology, Museum of Northern Arizona) piece together evidence from various sources. They do not indicate how many volumes are yet to come.
