| 概要 | Acar (Marmara U.) set out to compare the positions of Arabic scholar Avicenna (980-1037) and Roman scholar Aquinas (1225-74) regarding the nature of the divine creative action and the eternity versus ...emporal beginning of the universe. He soon discovered that in order to do so, he would also have to discuss their position regarding theological language. He first investigates whether their positions can be philosophically assessed, then determines their conceptions of divine attributes insofar as they are related to the matter of creation.
