College Northampton, UK) and Arnold, a former speech and language therapist, describe using Social Stories to work with people with autistic...spectrum disorders (ASDs), a technique which Carol Gray created to improve participation in social interactions. The authors outline the methods used, and describe examples for writing stories, how to gather information, guidelines for sentences and structure, implementation and monitoring using visual cues, text design, layout and presentation, using the methods with other approaches, and problem solving.
