| 概要 | Eleven volumes and a comprehensive index in the 12th comprise this reference, prepared with the efforts of some 1,500 scholars and teachers. Coverage encompasses the following general subject areas: a...counting, business ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, international management, management information systems, managerial economics, marketing, operations management, organizational behavior, and strategic management. These themes are addressed in separately edited (and indexed) volumes. Each volume is briefly introduced by its editor(s); no other prefatory material explains details of inclusion and exclusion, but the content is geared for sophisticated readers who need a brief overview or a starting point for research into primary concepts associated with each field of study. Material is presented in alphabetically arranged, signed entries, each with a bibliography and cross references. The first edition (1997) was initiated by editor-in-chief Cary Cooper (organizational psychology, Lancaster U., UK) and advisory editor Chris Argyris (education and organizational behavior, Harvard Business School); they are joined for this edition by another advisory editor, William Haynes Starbuck (management and organizational behavior, New York University).
