概要	Beginning in 1989, Kosovar Albanians began to construct a parallel educational system as part of a larger nation-building project in opposition to the Yugoslav state. Kostovicova (Centre for the Study...of Global Governance, London School of Economics and Political Science, UK) explores the creation of this educational system and how it related to the role of space in the construction of Albanian nationalism. He describes how the segregation of education in Kosovo allowed the Albanians to use alternative space in order to create an "internal liberation" of nationhood. In doing so, he discusses how the Albanians reinforced homogenization within the national ranks, the challenges of governance within the alternative educational space, and look at the impacts of the reversed segregation after the NATO intervention.
