| 概要 | This World Bank "Needs Assessment," carried out at the request of the Albanian government, analyzes the socioeconomic, cultural, institutional, and historical multi-dimensionality of poverty and exclu...ion affecting Roma and Egyptian communities in Albania. Based on survey data from 11 districts in the country chosen to represent the regional and economic diversity of Albanian Roma and Egyptians, the study examines participation in the labor market, access to education and basic infrastructure, and coping strategies based in the use of social capital. The findings are use to provide policy recommendations to the Albanian government related to improving access to public goods and services, changes in the eligibility criteria for state assistance, legislative remedies for advancing social inclusion, and other measures for addressing poverty and exclusion.
