| 概要 | Many studies in English describe how Japanese-style management produces a highly motivated work force with a strong work ethic and commitment to the firm and its goals. Mouer (Japanese studies, Monash...U., Australia) and Kewanishi (sociology, Waseda U., Japan) shift attention to the structuring of work choices, and especially the consequences of not working hard for long hours. They also set firm-level arrangements and choices about work in the context of larger social parameters such as the provision of social services and power relations between the labor movement and management at the national level.
