| 概要 | Smith (affiliation not cited) assesses the suppositions underlying Alasdair MacIntyre's restatement of Aristotelian and Thomistic virtue ethics and also critically examines Stanley Hauerwas's work in ...hristian ethics. Contending that their views are relativistic, Smith argues that the attempts of these philosophers to secure moral knowledge and restate virtue ethics ultimately fail. He then proposes an alternative approach to addressing the problem of the loss of moral knowledge that is centered in metaphysical and epistemological realism.
